Hi! I’m Ian Brodie.
This site is dedicated to WordPress Plugin Reviews. I’ll be highlighting the most powerful plugins for listbuilding, traffic generation, social media, etc.
A WordPress blog and a decent theme is a fantastic foundation for a business. But it’s the plugins you use that can make all the difference and allow you to create an engaging experience for your visitors – while building a list for marketing.
Personally, I’ve built my consulting business powered by a simple WordPress blog and some effective plugins.
I currently get over two thirds of my clients via the web. And since it’s working while I’m out doing client work (or sleeping/eating/watching football) it’s helped get me off the treadmill of having to trade off business development time vs client work time (and leisure time).
It’s a great equaliser too – if you know what you’re doing. From my little office in my back room in the Cheshire countryside, I currently get more visitors to my site than some of the top 50 consulting firms globally.
So on this site I’ll be sharing reviews and thoughts on some of the internet marketing tools – and in particular, the WordPress plugins – I use to run my business.
All the reviews and recommendations are based on my own personal experience – either of the product itself, or my relationship with the person who’s developed the product.
On a personal note, I’m married to the wonderful Kathy, and we have two children – Chris & Robs, and two large lazy cats.
I also suffer from being a supporter of Newcastle United – so not surprisingly my mood varies significantly depending on how horrifically they have been playing or which dodgy billionaire has decided to buy us this month.
